    Mbtb 2012?

Is May by the Bay happening this year?

My kids are asking about the Boggs camping that traditionally happens over the long weekend.

    Edit:

Here are links to the various rides.

    Big Basin 5/25

    Rockville 5/25

    Boggs 5/26-27

    Annadel 5/26
    Tank Girl After-Annadel-Party

    Oat Hill Mine 5/28

    Any others? Let me know.

Finally, a post. I was going to post something tomorrow. I am interested in Annadel and Boggs.

Would there be any interest in

changing up the usual rides with an excursion to hull mtn? Maybe we could find a docent of sorts?

    Mbtb 14!

Great timing! I always like to wait until after Sea Otter dies down to announce anything.

I don't have any grand plans other than the usual. Please chime in with other rides you want to organize and lead.

Friday, May 25th, 9am - Big Basin mega loop (I can't make it. Who wants to lead?)
Friday, May 25th, 1pm - Rockville (WG, are you my hero? I'll be there...)
    Saturday, May 26th, 10am - Annadel
Saturday afternoon, after Annadel head up to Boggs for camping
Sunday, May 27th, 10 or 11am - Boggs (Multiple loops though camp, ride all day)
Monday, May 28th, Oat Hill? JRM's Hull Mtn shuttle? (I am out for Monday, heading home in the am)

    Discuss.

I can arrange camping at Spring Lake if anyone wants to stay over between Rockville and Annadel.

I like Russian River brewing for Saturday afternoon after Annadel. If everyone agrees, I'll reserve a room. I need a show of hands though.

    Anyone have a keg connection?

Any and all newbs are welcome. There will be group MTB rides for all abilities. No kiddie rides planned, but possible at both Annadel and Boggs.

I wouldn't do the JRM Hull Mtn thing but I will be at Annadel. I'm a tentative for Bogg's, which I say each year but really think I'll do this year

There's a total of 3 of us, and we're in for Russian River brewer after Annadel.

Woohoo! Count me in for A-del & the brewery, and also for Boggs. Man, I gotta get into shape and QUICK.

    Woohoo!

I'll send this link to Big Boulder, maybe he can round up a kegger from the Auburn Alehouse. I would LOVE to bring a keg of Plowshear Porter from Lodi Beer Company, but would need donations fo sho.

I'm down for Boggs camping. Im seeing a few posts about kids. Is this a good spot for kids to ride? I personally have never been there. My son is 11 and getting into MTB. I'm here he'll love to do this specially if there's other kids doing it

There will definitely be kids there. How much they'll ride??? If you're up for sacrificing a little of your riding time you can definitely find plenty of kid-friendly trails all around the camp without killing your kid. My son rode there when he was about 11. Wish I could get him to ride now. :sniff:

I have the Group Camp at Boggs reserved...
They are charging for camping now.
$25/night but the good news is we have the whole upper area.

    BikeMonkey donated fire rings.

Carlos is up here now setting up the course.
Some sprinkles to keep the dust down.

See you all in a couple of weeks...or Sunday if you come for the race.

    Hey Tim,

$25.00 bucks a night, is that for the entire group/campsite or per-person?

The campsite fee is for the whole Group Camp about two acres.
I'll be paying it on Friday when I set up camp.

All little help per person or carload works.

    Slowly moves rock and surfaces.....
If people want to do Rockville I can be there. Haven't been there in a long time so need to do a scouting ride soon. If FastEddie is gonna be there, that's an incentive.

I'm being invaded by relatives that weekend so will be there for the A-dale ride but don't know about post ride brewery libations. Probably hoist one or two at the parking lot then drag my carcass back home to drink more with the bro-inlaw.

Hey FastEddy...you told me about May by the Bay when I mentioned I was planning to do a biking excursion in the northern bay area on one of my threads couple months back. Can you give me an idea of how far each of these trails are from one another. Rockville > Adel etc. How long is the commute?

I'm only for sure on Adel so far and will hang out with the crew for some brewskies afterwards

Thanks. Yeah, I ended up googling it earlier. Should have done that first before posting. I don't have camping gear so I'll likely go to Annadel stay at a motel in Santa Rosa or Middletown then meet everyone at Boggs on Sunday and head back home Sunday. I work Friday so no riding on that day.

No worries. BTW that Adel directions take you to the Chanel Dr. parking area where we usually park.

If I bring a keg, the Olds will NEVER make the dirt road into the campsites at Boggs.

No, no keg from me. Now, if you wanna send me $$ for a growler, we could arrange something.

Hmmm....well I guess we better think about this. Charlie, Patrick...I'll study the map, load the gps tracks and take it from there if you don't want the spot at the front. (Haha, it would be the first time I was ever in front of Patrick!)

tburger, you should reconsider. Seriously. What could you possibly find out of town to beat this?

    Haha.. LOL.

I'm waiting for Skyline35 to say yay or nay. I know the route well enough now to lead if there's a quorum. I was thinking of taking my CX bike for some extra pain but that might just be silly.
