    Lost Garmin eTrex 30 (FOUND!!!)

I left my Garmin eTrex 30 on the bumper of my truck and drove away from the parking lot on Brushy Peak in Livermore. About 30 minutes later, I remembered it was on the bumper and went back to look, but did not find it.

This is the second time I've done this (found it last time) and its obvious that I cannot own nice things.

If found please contact me here.

    Thanks.

I meant to do that after I lost it the first time, but never got around to doing it. Hoping to get it back. But I understand that will be a long shot.

I think I'll go old school with a paper map and map protector.

    This sucks.

My wife and I planned on going back to Brushy Peak at different times to post signs and see if anyone left a sign as well. My wife went in the morning and posted a few signs. She recieved a phone call about a minute later from a East Bay Reigonal Parks Officer who stated there a "Found GPS" sign on the back on the Brushy Peak enterance sign.

My wife did not see the sign at first as she was looking the ground for the GPS while driving. Anyhow, phone call was placed and GPS was retrieved.

Thank goodness for nice honest people!

And yes, my info is now on the GPS device!
