Corning is just flat olive country. There may be some trails near the river(?). But, head about 18 miles South to Bidwell Park in Chico and you'll be like a kid at Disneyland.

OR 45 minutes North to Redding. Many miles of singletrack to be had.

Chico has one place to ride, redding has 20. No offense to chicoans, I was one for 15 years. But redding and the surrounding area has way better MTBing. Just simply more hills.

Someone tried to burn down salt creek trail last weekend. the first part after up from the river trail for the first 200 yards is black. You can ride 10 miles a day here for a week and not see the same place.

    Weaver basin is even better.

    I KNOW!!!
That's my fave run. I ride it back and forth for hours on end.
The best thing? I don't have to carry a watch or cell...I can always read the 'dial' to see if I'm late or not
