Today I came home from work early, and there was enough daylight for a bike ride. I felt that putting on contacts for just a few hours would be a waster of a perfectly good pair of disposables, so I didn't. I also left my glasses at home, because I don't ride in glasses.
What an exciting ride on plain old Stevens Creek trail. As it got darker, it got progressively more exciting. It's true - you can't fear what you can't see. I rode every wooden plank across the canals, every ledge and shelf I could find, and attacked them much more vigorously than I normally would.
I don't think I ran anyone off the road, even that dog that tried the old "leash across the trail" trick.
