"Live from the trail" photo thread

Thread for "Live from the Trail" photos. *With the new forums and tapatalk (and other apps?), you can now post photos to mtbr from your phone. *This thread is *only* for photos posted from the trail! *Don't even think about taking photos with your $5K SLR,*editing*them up nice and pretty with photoshop when you get home and trying to pass them off in this thread! *Special server software will analyze photo exif data and timestamps and determine photo time and location from shadows and weather information. *This data will be cross referenced with the time of post, cheaters will automatically have their rep power dinged! *Show your trail shots as they happen here.

My old Turner took me right into a tree last night in the Oakland hills.

Clearly I need a new bike!

Tallboy does great! It's for racing and climby rides. SULTAN is for Downieville and descendy rides, and for "rough play".

Sadly, had to walk out last night, blew up my freehub. Still a fun ride with good friends.

Blewout your freewheel with all your "Watts" you put out! Now I get the new part, thought the Turner was your 5spot.

Keep an eye out on your Turner frame.. my buddy's 4 mo. old Flux cracked. Turner shot him a new one pretty darn quick though.

I'm far too cheap to spend 3 bucks on tapatalk. The trails were nice and quiet at Demo today.

Empty_Beer: I've got the same story. Turner just stoked me with a 2011 frame when I broke my 2009 Sultan. I am a happy Turner owner. This is my fifth.

Nice, you should see the shelter me and the kid built out of driftwood on the sonoma coast this weekend. Complete with a kitchen, picnic area, outhouse and a selection of wooden knives, spears and slingshots to fight off enemies of The Dragon Warriors. (If you have a 5 year old that last sentence makes perfect sense.)

There's two of these deep in the woods of tiny Joaquin Miller Park. The other one has four walls and a roof! Not sure who uses them.

Just in time - special server software paged me with an alert of a non-live post. Your rep is preserved this time mr hanskellner (and maybe even got a bump from someone who still thinks that Appetite Seminar video was AWESOME!).

AAaaaaah, yes. The last three live from the trail posts is surely what Slidemon had in mind originally...
capturing organic moments of rides here and there. Simple , pure.
Thanks for the pics and posts folks.

AAAaaarg, not a pic of ride to the Petaluma (Slough) River for lunch. Next time. Apple Box Cafe via Sir 9 SS.

Nice form on the trail there slide mon, looks like the Sleeping Squaw from China Camp- yet it's not China Camp. (?)

Looks like a good "digestion ride" in Redwood City.
