Anyone interested in a Saturday ride, maybe do the North Fork? Saturday Dec 26 weather forecast now is for 53 degrees and a 50% of showers, did not say rain so that leads me to bekieve something passing through with a 50% chance that it will not rain.

Let me know if anyone is interested and we can set a time and meeting place. Right now I hear the parking is free at the launch ramp.

Let’s meet at the cul-de-sac Saturday at 2 PM to ride to the end of the North Fork Trail. We may be able to park for free inside the launch ramp area so check that area out. Last few times up there the Rangers covered up all of the self pay stations because the lake is so low.

I went up to the launch area today and verified there is no parking fee required. They have a sign up that states”No fees are required due to low lake levels”. So if you are riding up that way you can park for free.

Any ride is a good ride.

We rode yesterday 3.5miles past the picnic table out on the new section of trail and the rutts and mud got so bad and deep that we did not make it to the end. State Parks has made great progress on this trail. It appears that they are done for the winter, we saw tracks where they took thrie equipment out.

Meet at the Saddle Dam at 6 PM, ride around the corals and then back to the Saddle Dam , maybe do Grand Canyon, go up the long way towards the Visitor Center and down the Man Way.

Lots of options, charge your lights.

Still no information confirmed on when and where. I just checked weather forecast and it is calling for rain tomorrow (Friday) but not for Saturday. I do not have any additional info, I checked MTBR and LOBO and there appears to be conflicting information. I plan to check my mail first thing in the morning, I believe any ride, tomorrow or Saturday will not start too early

Well...I am planning to be at the Dam bathrooms at 10:30am today (1/1/10). Anyone that wants to go for a ride...let's go! Probably going to see some rain, so bring a jacket. See you there?

Here is the latest information I can ascertain.

Saturday ride at 9 am. Meet at the parking area just above the restrooms at the top of the Dam.

I believe Jim and Steve are out riding now so I am waiting for a phone call for more info.

I suspect the Saturday ride will be a long and challenging one based on some of the suggested destinations I have heard. But as always any ride is a good ride!
Unfortunately I will not be able to make the Saturday ride because my daughter and grand kids arrived here last night so I will see you all on the next ride. I will be thinking about you all as me and the 8 and 5 year old are making brownies and drinking hot chocolate!

As soon as I get mo info I will pass it on.

Yes,We Steve and I did take a ride 10:30 and also found out that there was about 10 other ride's out doing the same thing. It rained a bit but all and all it was good. We went up to the Visitor Center to the Grand Canyon and around the corral's found a new but it will be fun trying to ride trail. Did not get to ride with the other ride's just saw that their trucks or cars were there so they had to be out there.

The ride for Monday Meet at the parking lot across from Green Line we will be go up Sycamore Hill hard ride for some, but it's a Monday ride and "We Ride With Who We Go With" does that make sense.
