    Lagunitas Maximus

I had thought to ride today but was just too busy. This evening I cleaned the Bonti and the Stumpy, hung out in the shed, and on put my 2 new WTB SSTs. Lubing and tweaking was done. Sorta watched the Giants game.

I've been struggling with my mtb in the last few years which is why I gave up coaching. I ride with a bunch of great people from BTCEB now; Skeggs and Coe lately. Whatever "it" is is starting to come back. So being in the shed with bikes, grease, and beer was like coming home.

    Lagunitas Maximus.

Great find Raliegh5 *but* if I'm not mistaken, aren't Australian sheds primarily where ones hide is hanged by Fred after being tanned when you're dead? All the while after they've tied their kangaroo down....sport?

    Good on you BM!

    I was sipping a Maximus

when I saw this post. I did a charity roadie ride two weekends ago that ended up at the Lagunitas brewery in Petaluma. Afterward went to the tap room and I had Maximus from tap for the first time.

It's between Lagu's IPA and Hop Stupid in hoppiness, which I like. Had an IPA there called SF Fusion, which is Hop Stupid but with different hops, which I really liked.

JRM brought a growler of Drake's Denoggenator IPA (love that name) to Boggs. My vote for Pliny killer.

How did you like the Maximus? Did you review it for the beer forum?

Your Bontrager is gorgeous. I couldn't help but admire it at Coe. I wish I had the diligence to keep things clean.

Why do those maximus in the fridge look different than the maximus we get down here in AZ?

Hmm, I'll look for that Drakes. We are thinking of Drakes for our BTCEB Gala Ride on June 10.

That fridge needs less Diet 7up and more Lagunitas Maximus.

I had some last week after a painful yet very fun ride (hip and thigh started randomly hurting at the start of the ride) and wanted some to try something new and numbing.

HA! I knew I would get some heat for that. Taking up valuable fridge space. What was I thinking!?

Have never been much of a fan of the "hoppiness" of IPA's, about a year ago I started to really give them the benefit of the doubt, sampling various when given the chance. I was advised by someone on here (might have even been Francis) that IPA is best experienced when one is hot, tired, and just ready for the magic refreshment of beer right after a good long mountain bike ride.

I took that advice and started drinking IPA's when I was done with rides, not just to sip while sitting around being lazy. Big difference with the perception of the flavor. Kind of weird and something I have yet to figure out, but I like it.

Decided Lagunitas Maximus is my go-to IPA beverage. Really like this stuff after a ride.

This thread is rad. Worth 6000 words (6 pictures)... This thread is quite poetic too.

1st words.. Youre garage/shed is awesome. Just like home.

Was it a quater passed 2am or pm in your shop with the hartail on the stand?

I'm down with the baseball game on the little flat screen too. That's classy..

    Kick ass garage pic.

    I love Lagunitas. All flavors.

    Keep up the good work!
