I wore a pilgrim costume last year and had the turkey guy on the TT bike pass me on the road to the trailhead. I forgot my ax!

I'm going to try and make it, but I don't think there's gonna be a whole lotta hanging out at the top for me. Matiasquatch is excite be there, although he may have to duck any low hanging (10ft.) branches.

A burlap sack tied to the seatpost would be much easier. Just drag it behind you and whatever you lose along the way, you didn't need anyway. Very cool with the shock and all. I wish I knew how to weld because I would make a cool trailer for myself.

I'm in, all the way from ON, Canada! First time in Cali, visiting friends in SJ. Hope to get out on a few more rides.
Too bad I won't be able to bring my Misfit - I'd love to ride my own bike. But I guess a rental is better than no riding at all!

Throwing this out there for those who have a turkey or something big but don't want to haul it up: if you or someone else has a trailer that I can attach to my bike, I'll haul it up. PM me. If I don't get any takers, I'm going to ride my 45 lb DH sled up with a bag of leftover Halloween candy. Maybe some beers too. :-)

Latest from the Sekret underground weather shack for the ride tomorrow:

Perfect. Should be very mild low 50's at the start with temps rising to mid 60's by early afternoon. No rain, no cold air.

It's the Bay Area so this could change by then but it looks pretty stable now.

See everyone tomorrow. I'll be the cool one, on that bike, with that thing and that certain jacket I like...

Yeah, you think I like spending all day and $100 on crab? Well I do but my wife thinks I hate it and I'm doing it for her.

Anyway, my mom's grand luncheon is at 12 noon. So my wife will be there early to hold the fort and distract my mom while I take my time down the mountain, shower, pretty up and show up late. That's teamwork right there.

Thanks for the weather forecast Cmdr. Looks like a great day and a warmer day than usual.

Haha, that's how you gotta roll with the team. I'm on the same program except when I get back at noon or so I get to go camping down in SLO and have thanksgiving dinner at the bottom of What?trail.

Remember, 8am Rollout of the Summit Bike Shop. If you do your own thing and roll out earlier or later, you will miss half the fun. If you roll out at 7am and descend by 9am, you are beyond help

This will be the warmest Turkey ride on record. Means minimal ice.

    Looks like fun

I'm in with my 8yo on the red mtb tandem.

First time to join the fun and on this trail ever. This is going to be tough and legs are going to hurt using the tandem.

    See everyone bright and early.

So, no one needs help hauling up a Turkey/Lechon/Keg or anything? (Kyle?) Shoot - this means I might have to ride my DH bike up again, and that's a dang workout... But, the upside is it's a hella fun ride back down... :-)

Dang, Scott. That's a serious offer. Only thing is, I ain't towing ****e up this year! Ack. The cost of childcare ate into my turkey fund. I'll offer up the Bob trailer and a cooler though, if someone's got something substantial for it. Otherwise, I'm going lightweight with a backpack full of Pliny this year. (turkey fund and pliny fund non-transferable. ;-) )
