After two days of driving, a freeway shooting (with an officer involved), being locked out of the condo at midnight with 30 degree weather, we are ready to ride!
Coffee: check
Bikes: check
Food down: check
MTBR representing: check!

We is ready!!!!

First impressions? Beautiful! The bike lanes on the roads are even elevated so the cars stay off them! Great thinking guys; only if Cali would have thought of that.
The Mount Bachelor Village Resort is awesome too. We overlook the Deschutes River and there is a spa on the balcony!

Time to ride!!!!!

2 days of driving? My record was 8 hours door-to-door from Santa Clara to Bend! If you look across the Deschutes River to the South, you'll be looking in the direction of my old house. I'm jealous of you guys - Bend is a very nice destination. Phil's Trails, McKenzie River and camping up near Mt Bachelor brings back some good memories.

Francis should post photos soon. We rode for 11 to 5pm today. Epic! We got to ride a wide variety of trails today.
The first thing we did when we got back to the condo today? Open beers and start downloading photos. It's now 6:20 and we are still downloading photos! Simply an awesome day! Still in our jerseys....
I have to get SoCal up here! Everything from fast and flowy to rock gardens and stunts! Thanks to Lev for leading us!!!!

Nice! Ahh, Whoops Trail - now that's a fun one. After a day out at the lakes or mountains, my wife used to drop me off at the Swampy trail-head so I could ride back to town.

pretty fun, spent a lot of time up at tumalo falls and surrounding trails. that's where i learned to ride. rode up from shevlin park, then back down toward phils ending at my house by bend high. congrats on the ride, nice pics.

it seems everybody here rides.

- On the radio they kept talking about the upcoming cross race and handmade bike show.
- We saw a group of 15 kids on bikes on a trail. They were in class elective - mountain biking
- the bike lanes are elevated
- the beer is insanely good. mostly ipa!
- whoops trail is A++
