    Grouse Ridge Experience

This Saturday 6/29. 8:30am meet at Laings crossing (at the south Yuba bridge crossing on Bowman Lakes Rd) for a seriously chunky, gnar gnar, no flow day.

We are going to shuttle up to Loney Meadows.

    Distance - Doesn't matter...
Vert - yes, some while carrying your bike
    Time - long time
What to bring - Bike, plenty of water, food, extra parts
    pace - glacial

    post ride beer picnic

Rode there yesterday...great great fun in the cold wet rain! The tree work that has been done is just awesome.
Always respect rangers, they are doing their job-Everyone else has no authority, so get out of the way of the of the ATrain!

If you come up with a ride plan I could take a guess when you'll get to the camp ground.

BB, will you be "full rigid" per usual? You made me look like a novice on my squish when you blew by me fully rigid on blue lakes descent last year I, second, Wilderness Rider's experience. I was out there (Mountain Bike Ride Profile | Grouse is (almost) back near Nevada City | Times and Records | Strava) Saturday and the lindsay lakes cutoff to grouse ridge campground section of grouse ridge trail is "primo" Once we, BONC completes lindsay lakes re-route this summer, it will be the capper to an amazing loop.

Hey Matt, I am retired from the rigid. riding a Giant Anthem now. I plan to start at the same place we started last year off Bowman Lakes road and then head through the meadow and up To Bowman mtn. I hope I can remember the route up to Bowman Mtn. Seems simple but I was not really paying attention last year. From there it is on to Rock Lake then all the way to Laings Crossing. This is such an epic point to point ride!

Steve, you've gone soft on us ;-) Thinking I may join your posse. Do you have room for a less-than-super-fit guy? I promise I'll make it up by complaining the whole time...

Check back here after 5pm today.

It's Friday morning and I still can't get my bike shoe on to my left foot due to a big toe injury I suffered Wednesday night trying to hop over a downed tree on connector trail. If I can get the shoe on later today then I am good to go...I think. I am guessing that I am downgraded to 50/50 right now. If I wasn't so stoked about riding tomorrow I would just bag it.

Jeff and John...I will text you later today to let you know what is up.
