Good job Marin mountain bikers!
Missing girl found safe, uninjured - SFGate
(06-14) 11:34 PDT LAGUNITAS, MARIN COUNTY -- A 9-year-old girl who wandered away from her family's campsite at Samuel P. Taylor State Park was found alive by bicyclists Saturday morning more than two miles away from where she was last seen, authorities told The Chronicle.
Ida Rothschild, from New Mexico, vanished at about 12:15 p.m. Friday, prompting an intensive search by Marin County sheriff's deputies and State Park rangers, authorities said.
The girl was found uninjured shortly before 9 a.m. by mountain bikers cycling on the coast trail, about 2.5 miles west of the campground, authorities said. She was quickly reunited with her family. Her mother was seen crying and thanking the people who helped in the search, according to Lt. Doug Pittman, of the Marin County Sheriff's Department.
Take that Mike V...
Nice going riders!!
Warning: Consumption of alcohol may make you think the person on the barstool next to you is attractive
Friend of mine jokingly said "so it was the mountain bikers fault", yeah right, then I was thinking they just might find way to turn it against us. "Dirty bikers shouldn't have been on the Coast Trail in the first place".
Seriously, good job mountain bikers.
BTW, I'm not familiar with "the coast trail, about 2.5 miles west of the campground" anybody know that trail?
Thanks. I kind of figured they meant the "Cross Marin Trail".
A local equestrian group has complained about mtn bikers removing items from the trails. They request the little girl be returned so the posse can find her later today.
