    Fremont Older Condition?

Did anyone ride on this forum ride there over the weekend?

How was the condition? Mud? Any particular trail to avoid?

I rode it this morning. No mud and Toyon is open.

U.FO.? As a one who rides in F.O. at least a few times a week, let me say that F.O. is always a lame place to ride. I'm lucky to have a convenient place to ride near home, but F.O. is not good, unless you like the smell of horse apples (Fremont Odor).

It's been so dry lately - conditions are going to be fine everywhere.

Mid-Pen has armored a few of the perennial boggy places where horses and ranger trucks wreak havoc over the last year, and that is helping.

But overall, this is boring place to ride. There are good climbs. The downhills are boring.

It's a bummer that Pichetti Ranch OSP, and the trails off of Mt Eden got closed to bikes. With those, back in the day when they were open, we could get something fun and legal in after 5pm.

I'm happy that when daylight savings hits, the canyon opens up to rides up Monte Bello Road, and cruising a wider variety of trails.

Toyon is a great little trail though. It can really work you.

Too bad also about Parker Ranch. So much riding history gone down the chute.
