    Father's Day Weekend Report

Well ... How was Dad's weekend ? Did we ride ? Some child in the valley will be able to say ... Dad got a ticket by the CHP for heading to Los Gatos via highway 880 on his bike. C'MON MAN ! In fact he had two chp tied up escorting him as he walked his bike to Hamilton exit. Tied up chp a good thing for some folks I spose ? Less tickets !

If I was a better father, my kids would know how to take a hint. As such, apparently I am a failure, because I have no pancakes.

Started the day pigging out on some corn beef and hash my wife made for breakfast. Then had a great 17 mile ride with ddprocter. Thanks to his wife for dropping us off at 8,200' at the Tahoe Rim Trail East of the 267 and then picking us up in Carnelian Bay.

Fathers Day ride was much more fun with two 4 mile down hills, a two miler DH and only 1 real climb. Hadn't been on Watson Creek singletrack (grinder) since last year and I forgot how fun that trail is.

A quick walk with the dogs and kid to the park after the ride then watched Idiocracy after he went to bed. That ride today had me wanting some Brawndo cause plants aren't the only things that crave electrolytes.

Rode for 6 hours in Santa Cruz on Saturday--super fun and uncrowded.

FYI- The ArtBar and Cafe over at the Tannery is under new management and is pretty damn cool: Good food, beer on tap, you can look at art and artists, and you can eat outside with your bike. Two thumbs up!

Road the TRT from Mount Rose to Marlette Lake then back up the Flume trail. Great day with some great scenery.

    Then World Cup!

I'm in the middle of editing a 30 minute doc/video thing about the Tannery as we speak. The Art Bar is indeed very cool and perfect for a post ride beverage after Emma.

Because 29ers seem to slip out from under me and the Range did not.
