    Ecdm psa

Rode Skeggs this morning for the first time in a long time. On my way down the fire road from Bear Gulch to the top of Blue Blossom, I noted that it was very rutty and a bit tricky. At the bottom there were two rangers helping a cyclist out. Apparently a friend of theirs ate it on that same fire road earlier and landed on her head. She was taken away in an ambulance before we arrived.

    Be safe out there.

Yes, that is a rutty but very fun section. If you're not familiar with it, best to take it slow. I hope she's going to be OK.

I've eaten it there before; totally my fault, not rut or speed related at all. I hadn't torqued the stem bolts tight enough and motorcycled the entire bar braking for that last bump, OTB, whacked my head, no LOC, nothing broken, but I probably had a mild concussion. The bill for a head CT from the ED was an expensive lesson, thou insurance covered most of it. Now that I think about it, I've probably hurt myself at Skeggs more than anywhere else. Be safe out there.
