    Demo Lap Club

What's the most laps you've done? A lap is counted as down Braile, Flow, Sawpit (historic). How you get back to the top is up to you. Voting is anonymous, if you want your name on the board leave a post (and vote).

5k Bike 50Cent Legs -- Sad but true, I don't think I've ever done Braile and Flow, or 2x either in the same day. I do almost always take the long way around, however. Once I'm over this cold I have, I'm doing 2 laps.

I would count that as 3. But not sure youíre going to get a UCI sanctioned official lap from XXXXX. Or corral for that matter...

before they bulldozed the fire road section of corral, i used to do corral-->braille-->flow once in a while. that was usually ~20miles and ~4k footies.

mine was a little over 5500 ft. I think it would have been over 6k if my 3rd lap had been up buzzard lagoon (and including that first bit of Ridge for some extra mileage). I will say that after doing sulfur 3 times, the final climb out on Hihns mill ain't shit lol.

5 or more laps on the poll is now the Sasquatch Club. Claiming 5 or more laps requires a portfolio!

I did 8 laps one year. 50 riders started and near the end, only 5 were left. On lap 7, my back seized up and I could not finish even though my legs were fine. So I took the secret weapon, two Midol pills and finished the ride with ease. I was known for a couple years as Team Midol.

Most Iíve done was 2 1/2 laps (rode Flow down again from the halfway point) on my rigid singlespeed; I imagine with gears (and more water) 4 laps would be within my grasp.
one by nine works just fine but single speed is all ya need
BTW, itís called ďsarcasmĒ; youíre soaking in it!

Oh good times! I remember that gig. IIRC Paul Walters, "Ghostrider" and I rode over the top from Aptos and met you guys. That was a long fun day. Demo was harder then, than now. Tractor, Sawpit and Ridge were either longer or still existed on that ride. These days, "over the top" and back, plus a lap of Demo makes for a really solid ride, that will reveal quite a lot about one's fitness and equipment choices... a bike has to be pretty versatile and efficient to manage all the terrain variables and not wear a rider out.

A recent ride over the top down Ridge, Braille and back on the front side fun stuff in Nisene with drop bars is a blast!

That counts as 3 due to SS!

Standard is for me is 2, Flow and Braille with the 2nd loop back up Sulphur. Last couple times legs felt really good hammering back up to the parking lot, so pretty sure 3 loops are within reach. Just need to convince carpool and riding partners to suffer through it or wait for me.

Yeah, we did it about for about 5 years. 10k Demo.

One year, we called it in January two weeks prior. No extended training allowed.

Now, it's a little depressing to do something like this at Demo. There's only TWO decent trails now. Braille and Flow. What da hellz?

    Great times JMS!!

Yes, I should ride from the beach again. That's the best way to get a big ride done there these days.

I've ridden over the top, done all the trails in Demo twice, then headed back down to Aptos. LOL, you can do the "new" math however you choose. For me, it was just "One" big [mostly], fun day.

My standard Demo ride is 2 laps: Buzzards, Cusacks, Braille, Sulpher, Flow, Hihns. I did it this morning and the place was almost empty.

I did 3 laps once, the ride described above plus another lap on Flow. It took me 4 hrs 40 minutes (with plenty of stopped time) and I was pretty tired. I don't think I could manage 4 laps.

When they are done logging Sawpit, will it return to being a sweet trail, or has it been turned into a logging road already?

    Saw Pit is gone.

There was talk of a replacement before. But now it seems there is none. They may be open to a proposal. Best case, it's gonna be a loong while.

Haven't been to demo for bit...
Used to do corral, sawpit, braille; 2x braille if feeling frisky.
After flow opened I've done flow 3x, braille. That wasnt all that fun by flow #3...
Does bacons, west ridge, braille count with a highland start?
