Race #4 is this Sunday for the Super D Championships.

Fantastic weather. I saw Eric finish his run, but didn't get a chance to say hi, and chatted briefly with Menso as he was heading up for his second run. Overall it was a good showing. The course was a real mutha as was the climb to the top. I don't think I have had a 3600' day since the Downieville XC earlier this summer. I think I got bumped to about 7th in the HT class in the end, but beat everyone who was ahead of me in the overall (well, not kieth )

    Beautiful day. Amazing really.

Good views from the top too.

I was spent at the end. And after that climb up...I didn't bother pre riding. I'm lazy.

John was there (jack be nimble). Saw Uncle Bri, Curtis, and Menso too but didn't stop to chat. I ducked out quick to hang with the wife.

dscot, sorry I didn't get a chance to meet you! What kind of time did you put down? I think Keith's first run was a 7:48.

8:08 on a midget bike. My hardtail run was ended by a chain jammed in a chainguide, so I borrowed a friend size Medium Nomad and headed up the hill for my Jr. Expert run. It was quite an experience. Knees hitting the handbars and lots of squirly movement due to the shorter wheel base under my 6'5" body all the way down. The full sus was nice though. I think I got 3rd, though it may have been out of 3, but I left right after I finished so I'll have to check the website tomorrow.

i wish it was that fireroad all the way to the bottom. that was epic. 50+ mph drifts in the loose sand that gripped better than 400 grit sand paper.

lower the seat, shorten the stem. hahaha. i pedaled out of the start gate and up that little hill and then i didn't really pedal again until the singletrack. you just gotta tuck your head behind your stem and sit on your top tube. you'll hit 50 easily.

I put a 9:06 on the HT, that was all I had in me yesterday. Ended up sittin and spinning most of the lower stuff. It worked out okay as I did make up some points on everyone but Kieth. We have met before, I picked up a bunch of old rims and a T-shirt a couple years back. We cross paths at local races from time to time, probably would recognize my face just not the online persona

    cheers,
    Doug

Ooooh, yeah, Doug! Crystal clear now.

You've probably even told me this once before too...I can't always put handle's to names/people, but I'd remember someone by the bike they ride in a heartbeat. How sad is that.

...or if you were sporting my shirt.
