    Bullards Bar Trailhead?

Can somebody tell me where to access the Bullards Bar Trail?

I'll be coming from Nevada City on 49 and looking to ride about 10-15 miles on the trail with my girl. Thanks.

The one time I rode it, back in 2009, we picked up the trail from the Dark Day Rd. Parking Lot (39.428134,-121.108223 - Google Maps). Here's an 11 mile loop from the FATRAC site, which starts there: Bullard's Bar | Folsom-Auburn Trail Riders Action Coalition

FYI I rode out there with FATRAC. There are some areas you're riding on a ledge so if you or your gf don't like that, just beware.

    Bullards Bar Trailhead?

I'll second the Dark Day parking lot. Several trails to check out from there.

My friends are telling me that this trail isn't anything to brag about(being that its a lake trail ) so I was starting to wonder if there are any other better trails in the 10-15 mile range that we could check out.

We are staying in Dutch flat and headed to Dville for the banff show tomorrow night so somewhere along that route. We've done FHDL a bunch and that technicality is perfect. Maybe something with a bit more gain than Bullards? I don't think she is ready to pedal up from Dville and drop it back again.

I personally love Bullard's and of the available options, it is probably most similar to FHDL (but with some exposure on the side of the trail). There is much singletrack there and it is very pretty in places.

Other options are North Yuba Trail, which is a bit more technical and definitely steeper in spots. Once in Downieville, you could ride a loop on the the divides (1st, 2nd or 3rd), but I have no idea if there is snow there.

I hope this helps. Have a great ride.
