    Bottom Bracket help

Which direction to loosen the bottom bracket for re-greasing?

On the non-drivetrain side, do I turn it clockwise or counter clockwise to loosen? Is a generic brand bottom bracket running on a Trutvativ 5D 3.0 crank. Cheap sub-one grand bike. Is it the same as pedals where the non-drivetrain side is turned clockwise to loosen?

    Thanks.

Wait, so the drive side is actually the opposite side???? So, it is different than the pedals then?

    Glad i asked

Pretty much loosen in the direction you pedal and tighten the direction you would back-pedal. Works the same on both sides. It is opposite the pedals, which do tighten in the direction of pedaling.

Fixed that, pedals tighten in the direction of pedaling, but the BB seems to be opposite. Just checked both on my bike.
