I really like this event. Even for non-bike beer people, the value and venue is outstanding.

Grabbed my tix with the early-bird special - make sure you get yours early too!
I get paid to ride shotgun.

    ^ nicely done.

And yes, it's hard to find a better deal for a beer festival in general Unlimited pours from 20 brewers for only $25!

With most pints being $5-7 at bay area taprooms, it's not hard to get your money's worth and then some! (while staying responsible and safe of course!)

Looking forward to this. Suggestion for future event: bicycle swap meet? I know I'm not the only one sitting on a grip of parts that I'm too lazy to list on CL or Ebay and there's the added bonus of the relationship between alcohol consumption and quality of the deals being made. (from the buyer's perspective, of course)

Cool. No "local" brands yet? Santa Cruz, Ibis, Marin, Specialized??

Wifey might appreciate testing an e-bike.

There will be pre-fest rides. (see link below)

The guided Biketoberfest no-drop MTB ride will be through Tamarancho -just a nice way to work up an appetite & THIRST. There will be prizes on the MTB ride. Leaves 9AM from (the new & improved) Java Hut.

Biketoberfest Rides Cancelled due to dangerous air quality from Sonoma fires.

As of now, Biketoberfest will proceed. Remember, this is a BENEFIT for MCBC and A4B -so our attendance is very important. Show up, drink beer, buy cool stuff, and have a terrific time, see you there!

Also, beyond just benefitting MCBC and A4B, we're using this event to promote and raise money for the Redwood Credit Union Northbay Fire Relief Fund.
    https://www.redwoodcu.org/northbayfirerelief

We will be raffling off a heap of beer with all the proceeds going to the fund! Be sure to stop by the A4B booth and buy some raffle tickets, all the money from the raffle goes to help those impacted by the fire and you'll have a good chance to walk away with some awesome brews (Pliny included!!!).

Several breweries will be debuting brand new brews at the event, along with a couple Great American Beer Festival winners as well, so eat a big breakfast, hydrate and enjoy!

Can't go wrong with great beer, awesome music and helping our neighboring communities in need.

    Cheers!

Looks like the discount price went up to $35 not $25 - is this true?

Yes, the $25 price was a super early bird opportunity long gone now. Now you will have to get unlimited beer pours for 6 hours for $35. Doh!

    Please drink responsibly!

Wondering if the forecasted precipitation's enough to call off the Tamarancho ride.

Wouldn't want to be a bad biker and break the rules, especially on such a high profile day.

[edit] Well, I risked it and bought my day pass and did the loop. Trail conditions were exceptional, and the trail itself was in great shape considering it's been a _long_ time since anyone's been able to do trail work.

Can't wait till the next volunteer day!

The beerfest was super fun and several tasty options were on tap. I particularly enjoyed the Zerode Taniwha on demo.

We had a fun appetite ride in Tamarancho for the few that opted to trust the weather and enjoy heroic dirt. Beware of wet roots and ESPECIALLY the BRIDGES on your next lap there. The bridges don't get much sun and they stay WET.

This might have been the best Biketoberfest yet. Killer Beer & Bands and good vibes. Thanks to MCBC and A4B for the enormous amount of hard work/planning.

Pls remember that once the ground gets saturated in Tamarancho to give the trails a rest after rains. They don't heal quickly, and the trail crew can't repair everything. The trails are in great shape after so many years of heavy traffic, but they're not invincible. So give 'em some love when you ride.

Watch for upcoming trail repair days and volunteer a few hours. You can ride afterwards -for a full body workout, then enjoy hard earned (guilt free) beer in town...
