    Big Sur trails?

going to Big sur next month and was hoping to get some info on what is worth riding out there.

did some snooping and all i could find is Andrew Molera State park and Old Coach rd.

has anyone ridden andrew molera? what is the best route to take?

I have never read any ride reports regarding Molera but I know there is some bike legal stuff there. Old Coast RD. is...a dirt road albeit probably pretty gorgeous and the south end of it comes out right at Molera. There is singletrack down on the South Coast (Prewitt Ridge) but that can be close to 2 hours away depending on where you are staying in Big Sur. All the other trails in Big Sur either have wilderness designation (no bikes) or local knowledge is needed.

it looks beautiful and buff enough for my lady to ride along also. im sure there is a monstrous climb to get to the top of that ridge.

This looks like the bluff and panorama trail. you can avoid the climb by going on the beach trail or creamery meadow trail.
    See map here.

that place is awesome this time of year.
it is a bit sandy in places though.

I did this ride in Andrew Molera last September with my wife. We turned around at the end of the bluff trail, because the rest of the loop is not bike legal. All the trails ridden were open to bikes and most were single track with pretty nice views.
