    Best $5 bike for NorCal...

    Best bike for NorCal...-anteupfortrails.jpg

Ante Up For Trails-Take Home An Ibis!

A drawing to benefit building trails in Santa Cruz presented by Mountain Bikers of Santa Cruz and Ibis Cycles!

For each $5 you ante up you will receive a chance to win the Ibis model of your choosing, spec’d to the nines. Better yet, every fist full of dollars you pitch in goes directly to trails in Santa Cruz.

Santa Cruz is a world-renowned mountain bike destination. The convergence of towering redwoods, verdant mountains, and the shimmering Pacific are attraction enough, but add A+ #1 trails to the mix and we have our land of milk and honey. Sounds pretty good eh? Well, we at Mountain Bikers of Santa Cruz are just getting started, we now have more opportunities to build new trails than ever before, we are working to develop new pump tracks and dirt jump spots, and are maintaining miles of trail at a feverish rate. We need you to ante up so that we can go all-in on making mountain biking in Santa Cruz even better.

Nuff said? Donate now for your chance to win!

Buy link on the Ante page doesn't seem to be working. It redirects me to PayPal but then doesn't actually redirect to a transaction confirmation page.

It should take you to a link on MBoSC's page. Oh... I think you're saying MBoSC's link doesn't work. Thanks, I'll let them know it needs fixing!

    edit: seems to be fixed!

Right?! Of course lately, there's been a trend towards the winner donating the bike.

John Wyclif had expressed the same idea as early as 1382, in Of Prelates, reprinted in English Works, 1880:

    Charite schuld bigyne at hem-self.

Ohh, I put some money in and now I'm conflicted. If you buy a ticket then the trails get better but my odds are diluted!

    ^^^^ What riderup said!!! ^^^
Tonight I had so much fun riding Santa Cruz dirt. I ended my ride with a buddy on High Street and said "wouldn't it be awesome to end our ride dropping a bitchin' downhill trail through Pogonip? Pitch in and it can happen!

Hell ya! For as much pain as there is in Bay Area trail access, Santa Cruz is about to open the floodgates if we support them.

    From MBoSC newsletter:

    Hello everyone,

It's the moment you've been waiting for- out of over 11,000 entries, we randomly selected the winner of the 2017 Ante Up for Trails raffle: Kevin Higginbotham of Jacksonville, Florida.

I spoke with Kevin this morning and he was stoked- he told me all about the riding in Florida. Awesome! Congratulations, Kevin! I hope he can make it our here for a visit. In the meantime, the generous folks at Ibis Cycles and FOX are gearing him up with the steed of his dreams.

I wanted to extend a huge thank you to everyone who donated to our cause- we raised $54,565 for trails in Santa Cruz County!

Please sign up for our mailing list to stay up-to-date on projects, events, and other happenings.

Thank you for donating to Mountain Bikers of Santa Cruz- we really appreciate it!
