    Anything near Roseville

I'm looking for a local trail that is close to Roseville, I know there are some up in Auburn and there is the Cavitt to Granite Bay ride, anything else that is close, or is there a local club? I like more AM style riding, I'm used to vegas where we rode alot at bootleg, cowboy trails, and gooseberry, but I'll take anything close.

    Hi Mr. Cool,

I live in Coloma which is between Placerville and Auburn on Hwy 49. Given the places you’ve been used to riding there is nothing near Roseville that will be anything other than a “workout” ride on dirt for you. Look up Granite Bay here on mtbr.com for directions to that sort of ride. You’ll have to go at least to Auburn or Salmon Falls/Sweetwater to get something fun. The following websites will give you all the data you’ll need for some fine riding.

All the rides in this link are local to you with Culvert as a stand out for stunts/jumps:

Here is a bike skills park in Folsom:

There isn’t a bad ride listed in any of the sites noted above. The local club is FATRAC and they are great people:

    Take care,

    Michael

Tuesday nights. 6pm ride. Old Folsom near Bicycle's Plus. Every week. Better than riding alone. Nice people. Fun enough rides.. Cheap pizza and beer afterwards.

    You'd like Auburn.

Also, use the search function... this topic seems to get covered every month.

    Welcome!

Agreed with the "workout ride on dirt" comment in the first reply, re: Roseville.

There are some potentially interesting areas though; check out the area immediately south of I-80 that parallels the freeway between Rocklin Rd and Sutter hospital. Google Maps is helpful for scouting out the area in general.
