Itís time to help build some more trails in Santa Cruz...and win a brand new Santa Cruz, perhaps? Iím sure all you SC locals are already on top of this but, I thought Iíd put it out there for everyone else.

Nice post Griz. The new Hightower LT and new Nomad are pretty incredible prizes.

But the ultimate prize of course is trails.

Pretty cool that my favorite local bike manufacturer is backing the local trail building scene. In addition to the "Ante Up for Trails" fundraiser, they are sponsoring a Trail Crew Leader Training workshop. Classes filled the 50 spots in 4-days. Hard hats, shirts and hand saws provided to all students upon completion.

Gotcha. You mean the bike right contribution right? For a while I thought you said SBCU which is Specialized.

Love that Santa Cruz Bikes made a diorama of the poster on their headquarters window. The traffic to the new company store and demo center is impressive I hear. People come from ALL over the world at ALL hours of the night. It's a destination now.

Another interesting tidbit is Santa Cruz Bikes donated $500,000 last year for the San Vicente bike trails project in Davenport (38 miles of new trails). I asked them if that was because of PON Holdings deep pockets and they said "no, that was reserved before the acquisition."

I misplaced the "C" in SCB; need moar Philz.

I agree, it's nice to see they are committed and not just writing checks. I haven't been to the new store front recently, I might have to stop by.

That is great to hear, thanks for sharing. BTW, this is #pimpbikeguy; as you lovingly coined me the last time I bumped into you at UC. Out with the 80's colored S-Works Broduro and onto a flesh N4

They also build up in Oregon (Ashland and in the Cascades) and are donating money to three trail building groups (COTA, NWTA, Team Dirt) in Oregon for the "trail tax" ($15 for every bike sold in the state) through all of 2017.

I certainly don't expect to win but I have to admit I am curious to who has won the prize. I have kept an eye on my email too, lol. I checked the link in the first post and found this little tidbit in the official rules. Guess we will have to patiently wait for the lucky rider's name to be announced.

Winners need not be present to win. Winners will be notified by via phone and email within 7 days of the drawing, and will be posted on the MBOSC website.
