I believe their phone recording says it will be closed until atleast 3/11. Lots of trees down, small slides, and trails with scary looking cracks ( like the trail almost washed away). On the other hand, Sierra Vista is open from the top of Sierra road.

I would guess Sierra Vista would be super risky if there are any issues ... the trail is already a sketch fest.

So crazy it's still closed. I think a lot of it is inexperience and being overcautious with the conditions we had.

That park is important though for the mental/physical health of all who use it.

Apparently the park will be closed through the end of the month at the earliest. I haven't surveyed the damage myself but I've heard that there was damage from flooding and mudslides on some of the trails - probably the ones that are closed off to bikes.

There are big CLOSED signs at the main ARP entrances, which is where the majority of MTB'ers enter and exit the park. I doubt that OSA expected a lot of traffic from Sierra Vista down through ARP, hence no signage at the top of Sierra.

I shuttled to sierra, down to the cabin, back up to boccardo and down to the eucalyptous at the bottom of Boccardo.
    Where the gate was locked.
But im not complaining. Just throwing it out there.
Always good to check before you go.
