Ord was sandy, sunny, and then misty by the time I finished yesterday. Air quality minus water content was a ok.

Local fire out by Lake Berryessa caused all that smoke yesterday.

Still pretty bad up here in Angwin.

Has anyone tried riding in a N95 mask? I have asthma and really shouldn't be out in this crap, but staying indoors all the time is taking a toll on my mental health

EPA website said Downieville had unhealthy air, went outside this morning to blue sky’s and crisp mountain air. Not sure how the website could be so wrong but air up here while a bit hazy is fine and first thing in the morning it is great. Another great day riding Downieville

We're back in the green in the Bay Area. Looks like improvement for many with a strong onshore breeze

If no response, that is a good sign. Look at the live webcam photos and purple air readings too

Perfect today clear as a bell when I woke up to drive to the Bay Area, bailed on those plans to ride in south lake instead playing it day by day now.

    Thursday evening it was dank

    This morning

I have a 10-pack and was thinking about it. Sounds hot and sweaty, but better than not riding!

Monday 8/13. SLT air has been great for the last 3 days. Minimal haze and no smell.

However if you head south the smoke is bad. Monitor pass area is still pretty poor.
Carson pass and Kirkwood area had good air, so thunder mtn is prob ok.

No telling how long it will last

The air is getting better here in Angwin as the Ranch Fire moves farther north.
    Only 72 AQI today.

Are all the fires on the down low now? Heard Pinecrest was under attack too with smoke and they're finally getting the resources they need.

Yosemite is open! Visibility is visible now.

The heck man! Air quality was bad yesterday and same today by the bay.

I think the bad air came from the ocean and mixed in with the fog..
