    Great Job

Great Job UB, I didn't see you there but then I was either riding, or at our campsite for most of the event. We were on a 5 man team for the 24 hour even so the factors were a bit different. Sleep deprivation seems to do interesting things to your mind.

Oh and how about that Full moon lap? Turning off the headlamp and climbing up The Grind with just the Lunar Illumination was surreal. I saw so many people who spent the time on that climb just dealing with their suffering... they really missed out on a great experience.

I've been considering soloing or two man teaming the 12 hours at Weaverville event and after your comments I'm leaning much more towards the idea of the two man team. Seems like the two man team would be just enough to deal with minor mechanicals and suck down some food between laps. The other solution for mechanicals would be to bring a spare bike.

Anyone interested in being on a 2 man team for Weaverville?

Anyone have the URL for the professional photo company at this years 20 HOA? $25 for a digital image seems a bit $$ but then again if the shot makes me look like a rock star (tough to do), I may sell my a** and kick down for it.

    Congrats to Team Hamana

Just wanted to give a shout out to Team Hamana for their awesome performance this past weekend. They once again got "Best Pit" with this year's theme "Pimps 'n Ho's." They also entered five 5-man teams and one 5-woman team. Out of the six teams, three got podium finishes and a fourth got an honorable mention. Here are the results:

TEAM HAMANA got 2nd place (5 person 150-199) with 29 laps in 24:43:06.

SON OF HAMANA got 9th out of 22 (5 person 150-199) with 24 laps in 24:50:15.

    HAMANA X got 5th out of 19th (5 person 200+) with 25 laps in 24:33:42.

GRANDPA HAMANA got to stand atop the podium with an Honorable Mention for the five combined riders ages being over 300.

BASTARD SONS OF HAMANA got 1st place (5 person under 149) with 29 laps in
    24:40:00.

HAMANA GIRLS got 2nd place (All Female) with 22 laps in 24:21:47.

Congrats to everyone who participated. It was a great event and it was so awesome to see so many MTBR's out there (Zorg, Chum, Grrrah, Plim, Fiona, Ogre, Pimpbot, 8trak, etc etc etc)! And it was great to see Derelict and BikerWidow at Friday's party!

Those pictures are hysterical. It reminds me of nothing so much as a dawn cocktail party at Burning Man.

Crashmaster (Crazy Andy) is the leg. By the way, how is that healing since you re injured it during the tear down? At least you had plenty of medicine (beer) at your disposal.

    Just for the record...

Bastard Sons of Hamana were robbed of there last lap. We actually did 29 laps in 24:40:00. We are disputing the results and should be vindicated shortly.

    Another pic

My team raced/vegged as one of the few all girl teams. We had great fun cheering everyone on with our cowbells up at Grandprix campsite, mainly because our neighbors the ClifBar boys were heckling anyone who endo'd on the switchback at the beginning!

Not sure if the Soulcraft guy was enjoying this, but my teammate was having a great time....

    Great pics

and write ups. It was nice to see quite a few of you in full force racing.
I'm still recovering, and my wound from the previous week doesn't want to heal.
My times were a little slower this year do to being Lazy AndY this year, but it was all for fun and it felt good to be competitive after a year of not racing.
I think the event went great and thanks to all the volunteers who made it happen. because I know how hard it is to work the timing tent while still ummmmm tired and ..............
at 3am trying to calculate times (did it my 1st year).

More pics we need more pics.
