    Yet another rotor/calliper mix'n'match

I'm planning to change my beaten up Juicy 3's for a set of Shimano SLX M665's. I know this sort of thing gets asked a lot, but would it be okay to keep using the Avid rotors? I googled this and found posts saying that Avid/Shimano rotors are more or less interchangable, but those were all at least a year old so I thought I should check...

That should be fine. I'm using Avid G2 and G3 rotors with my shimano brakes with no problems.

I ran the clean sweep rotors with my LX brakes and loved them. when I decided to upgrade rotor size I went with hayes rotors. not as happy but it does stop better. these seem to be a bit thicker and they are more noisy
