    XTR M975 disc brake question

I got a front XTR M975 disc brake and I want to shorten the hose. Do I need to bleed it after shortening the hose? Does anyone have an instruction (preferably with pictures) on how to do this as my brakes did not come with a manual? Can I reuse the fittings like the case of Hope brakes? I've shortened the hose on Formula and Hope brakes before with no re-bleeding so I hope it is the same case as Shimano.

Thank you very much for the help.

You can sometimes get away with hose shortening without bleeding, but you should be prepared to bleed them just in case...
