Are XTR Calipers Front and Rear Specific?

I just purchased the XTR M-965 brakes with XT hydro levers and wondering if there's a difference. Are they front and rear specific? Does it matter which caliper goes on front and rear? They are listed on the Shimano site as front, 98 grams and rear, 100 grams. Thanks for any responses.

If you havent found out by now the one with the shorter arms (both the same length) is the front and the one with the longer 1 arm is the rear.
If they are the older xtr's watch out for the SPS! (sticky piston syndrome) I'm taking mine off my bike and sending them back... grrr
