    XTR Discs with Hayes Rotors?

Is it ok to use XTR disc brakes with Hayes rotors?
Someone told me you can get away with it but you shouldnt.
Anyone know why or is it just mis imformation?

As long as the outside diameter is the same (and if I remember correctly, it is), than there is no problem with using a Hayes rotor, or anyone else's rotor for that matter.

I know some of the Trek bikes that use XT disc brakes come stock with Hayes rotors, so i think it should be okay.

As long as the rotor is 160mm, it will work. Lots of people use hayes rotors to substitute the center locks.
