    XT M775 rebuild?

I have two rear XT M775 brakes that have malfunctioned. One piston pushes out further than the other, and does not retract causing constant rotor rub. I've tried cleaning the pistons by extenting them out and using alcohol and the lubing them. No help. I've been told parts are not available. And never take out the big torx bolt on the side. Known fixes??? Love the brakes but dogs and birds, not so much. GBB

You stated that parts kits are unavailable.

Have you rebled the brakes giving the system a really good flush? ie replacing all the oil in the system.

Reclean the piston and lube again?

Maybe strip and rebuild the caliper reusing all the old parts?

I am going to give a tear down/clean/rebuild a try. I got a donor brake I'll try it on first.
