I have been debating which hydro's to buy, since the mechanical tektros that came on it suck. I finally decided after posting on here to go with Avid Juicy 7's, and wow they work great. I was a little worried at first a lot of people have post ed problems with them. I installed them how it says and it worked perfect 2-3 short start and stops down my driveway and they will stop on a dime. Thanks for the advise. If you are thinking about going hydro got Avid Juicy!!!

Yeah, hydros are a much different animal. I stepped up from Hayes MX-2's with Tektro levers to HFX-9's and the difference has been huge. On the mechs, even tweaked as much as possible, I couldn't get the power I have with the 2 piston hydraulics.

For my next bike, I'll likely go to a four piston to get that extra bit of oomph that comes in handy for a Clydesdale like me to do more agressive and downward pointed stuff.
