I owe a Diamondback response and I love the disc brakes on them. So early in the year I wanted to purchase a road bike but with disc brakes.
And with my budget I purchased a Gravity Liberty CXD cyclocross bike from BikesDirect.com. For what I paid I do enjoy the bike other then the brakes.
They have Tektro Lyra disc brakes and they do not stop the way I think they should compared my diamondback they are bad. I purchased a good rotor and no difference. I was thinking of getting different pads for them to see if that makes a difference. Would anyone know if Sintered Pads would work? they look similar in shape and size. I figured this would be the cheapest way to help them work better. Or should I just replace the calipers and go for a better mechanical system?
Thank you for your time,
