Whats a good set of inexpensive V brakes and levers?

Building up a budget hardtail and it needs brakes, whats the going best deal out rhere? I"ve never ran cable brakes before. I was looking on ebay and was thinking that there must be a popular set that most people buy.

For about $60, you can get Avid Single Digit 7 brakes with Speed Dial 7 levers at Price Point. Those are about the most inexpensive brakes that I can say are good from personal experience. Also, the SD-5 brakes w/ FR-5 levers are about $45, also at PP, can't vouch for them though. Nice thing about the SD-7's is that they come with the Rim Wrangler 2 cartridge pads, when the pads wear out, just pop in a new cartridge and screw in your barrel adjuster a bit and you're good to go.
