What pads for ceramic rims? (v-brakes)

I have avid single digit 7's with stock pads. And there getting pretty well worn down now. Ive only used them like 3-4 times so far with the ceramic. And have heard/read horror stories of them ruining ceramic rims.

What pads should I switch to, for braking performance, and ones that wont eat my rims?

I thought it was the rims eating your pads! Ritchey used to make a ceramic pad in green, black was normal, red was wet, and green was ceramic. Now I have no idea...

Kool Stop (who made the Ritchey pads as well) still makes a ceramic compound. The green is the ceramic compound and will slip right into your Avid pad holders.

I've used both Kool-Stop and Avid ceramic compound pads, and the Kool-Stop pads last longer and brake better. Both pads were used with Mavic ceramic rims.

FWIW, I bought a bunch of Kool-Stop ceramic compound pads off of eBay for a fairly good price.

Also abig thanks on the universal cycles link. Not only were they in stock but I LOVE the fact you can calculate shipping without making an account.
