What model of Hayes are these? (pic) and ?'s

I was wondering what model of Hayes these are, they came factory on a 2001 Giant XTC SE1. There are no numbers or names on them besides the Hayes logo on the lever housing as you can see.

Can you get rebuild kits for the levers? They have so much up and down play in them that it drives me nuts and I would like to fix this.

Also, I have to pull the rear lever in so much closer to the bar than the front for equal braking power, is there a way to adjust the length of lever travel?

Lastly, these brakes have always felt like they were either on or off i.e. there is no happy medium to braking with these. Is there a way to correct or adjust this? Thanks in advance for any input.

Hayes Mag with G1 caliper. You can get new lever bushings for it. You'll need to replace the lever pin with the allen bolt kit.

You can try using a different pad compound.
