    what brakes to get

so i have center lock hubs and shimano rotors with 05 magura louise fr brakes. the magura brakes really don't have the stopping power i need even though I have a 180mm rotor in front, I just bleed them and it seems as though they still lose power after a few days of riding. (thats what i get for ordering used brakes on ebay) anyway I want to buy some new brakes what can i get that works well with the center lock rotors? thanks..

I am leaning twards the m775 xt's but don't want to spend more than 150$

You can get a set of SLX brakes from Chain Reaction Cycles for under $200 shipped. They are just as powerful as XT. Just use you're existing rotors.

I have been super happy with my LX brakes. The modulation is great and I can always ride with one finger for breaking.
Oh sh!+ just force upgraded to cat1. Now what?
Best thing about an ultra marathon? I just get to ride my bike for X hours!

You realize that's 167 each, not for a set.

$23.81 actually. The total with shipping is $189.45. (give or take a couple of $ for currency conversion).

The same setup on Jenson is $320 (seriously who would pay that for SLX brakes)

I doubt you'll get anybody to match them as they are super cheap already. If you do end up getting SLX brakes, order a couple of these olive/insert sets just in case you need to shorten the brake line.
