Want disc brakes, but no fork mounts on 1" threaded fork...any ideas?

I have an older GT Timberline that has a 1" threaded steerer. I have a set of mechanical discs that I could put on in leiu of the v-brakes, but I can't seem to find any forks for sale that are 1" threaded steerer and have disc mounts?

What are my options? COuld anyone send a link to a possible solution?

    Could I adapt a 1 1/8 in fork somehow?
    Could I buy a 1" nonthreaded?

A custom built fork is the only way you're gonna get a disc tab on a 1" fork. lots of options in that realm (I like what I've been seeing from groovy cycleworks).
There's no way to adapt to a 1 1/8" fork, aside from getting a new frame (= . I wouldn't bother, seeing that a custom fork is gonna run close to $200 at a minimum. I suppose you might get someone to weld on a disc tab to the existing fork.

you might as well forget about it, as it would be pretty cost-prohibitive any way you look at it.
Oh noes. I'm going to drink the Kool-Aid.
