Thinking of upgrading my brakes, any help?

I've got a 2011 stumpy expert evo with the stock avid elixir cr sl brakes, 203 upfront and 185 rear. these have been nothing but trouble for the last few months and i'm ready to give them the boot.

i've been looking at a set of 2012 xt m785 as they seem to be getting pretty decent reviews.
anybody got a set and want to add your two cents on the performance of these brakes, also any other models out there that are trouble free performers in a similar price range

Not sure of where you are located, but Hope Tech EVO X2 or M4 are not that much more and work brilliantly.
