    Synthetic Fluid vs Non.

My brakes are supposed to use DOT 4.0. Does it matter if I use synthetic or not? Because my local Autozone only had synthetic in 4.0.

Doesn't matter. For the most part, "Synthetic", in terms of these types of fluids, refers to the ability of organic chemists to selectively use a certain type of molecule with certain properties and all that. I wonder how people think Synthetic motor oils, for instance, are synthesized and not obtained conventionally then engineered for specific properties.

That is the case here. In this case, Valvoline DOT4 is a good brake fluid, with low moisture absorption, high boiling points, and long life. I've used it myself, but will no longer be able to, as it's not available in the country to which I moved.
