    Swapping levers on Juicy 7

    Hi,

I can get my hands on a new set of carbon lever blades for the Avid Juicy brakes. I would like to use them on my (2007) Avid Juicy 7 brakes instead of the alu blades.

Is it easy to swap the leverblades myself or should I leave it to my LBS? I've seen the AVID manual on the internet and it does not look to complicated.

Very easy. There's a set screw that attaches the lever to the pivot. Loosen the set screw, slide the pivot out, then dial the reach all the way out and the lever comes out.

The thing I'm not sure about... The Juicy Carbon lever may require the use of a different push rod... The push rod is still pretty easy to replace, it just snaps in and out.
