    Swapping calipers

So I changed my brakes and now have a spare j3.
I'm planning on changing the calipers on my wife's ride. She has tektro mech disc brakes atm. Can I just pull the calipers out and change it with j3s or do I need another set of rotors?

Your wife tektro is a mech, and J3 is Hydro, there's no way that would work

If the op changes everything from the M/C to the caliper including the caliper adapter it would work no?

My bad yes op can do that. It just pretty much change the whole thing out. Op to answer question it's best to use the same J3 rotors so you don't have to bed them in again as long as they are still in good shape.

    Thanks AZ,

Thanks. I do have the rotors and they are in good shape but they are a bit overkill for her as they're 185...
