    STX brakes

I'm working on a restoration project bt want to use V-Brakes instead of Canti's. Does anyone know if STX brake lever, circa '95 will work with V's? Thanks in advance.

no .. levers for canti brakes wont pull enough cable for V brakes to work, but if you want to use your old levers you can use a travel agent to make them work with V brakes.
you might be able to find one on ebay. here is an example

As is, no. With a brake booster (aka travel agent), yes. That said, I haven't had issues with the STX canti's on my 930, but I am planning to upgrade the pads to XTR cartridge pads once I find a set of cartridge holders for the new pads that I got off eBait. More surface area...

you'd be better off buying some cheap new levers like Avid FR-5 instead of travel agents IMO.
When under pressure, your level of performance will sink to your level of preparation.
