NOOB question for you. I just went and shortened my Shimano saint m820 rear brake.I followed the shimano instructions and pumped the brake lever several times before disconnecting the line from the lever. Maybe i pushed the piston out too far out, not sure. Three of the four psitons went back in easily but the forth is stuck. I'm not sure how much force you can put on them to push it back in or if i should open up a bleed valve to do it. I'm trying to avoid having to re bleed the system. anyway here is a pic[/IMG]
