anyone familiar with Avid Elixir brakes?

My forearms are getting killed by my Elixir 3 levers. I checked into it a little but could only find this .PDF released by Straitline Components: http://www.straitlinecomponents.com/...patability.pdf

Basically, it speaks of the Elixir 5, the Elixir R, and the Elixir CR. It doesn't list whether or not Elixir 3 is compatible.

I was hoping someone might be able to tell me if Straitline lever blades are compatible with Elixir 3 brakes. The reach adjustment doesn't save my arms and it's getting old having my arms so worn out at the end of a ride.

It can't be done. How the lever body holds the lever in is completely different from the rest of the elixir line up. On the elixir 3 the lever is screwed into the body and the spacer slot is open ended so once the screw is taken out it just pops out, where as the rest of the elixir levers are held in to a closed ended spacer slot.
Found this out the hard way, just got my straitline levers, and figured out it won't work on elixir 3 levers. Time for brake upgrade!
