    Straight 6 oddity?

I picked up this bike which is mostly complete but missing a few items as you can see. My dilemma is the added brake bosses at the bottom of the chainstay which I have no clue about. The unit is all sealed bearings plus a bunch of CNC parts to put the boss on the lower side of the chainstay. The original bosses are there to mount a brake on top where it would normally go. Plus it has a 4 Banger swingarm/chainstay and not a Straight 6 one, any thoughts on that? I've searched Google for a bit and come up empty so I have to ask, "What the heck is this?".

Too many bikes, and just enough time to ride them.
