SRAM XX with 180 mm discs?

The XX comes with 185 mm discs, while most other manufacturers use 180 mm discs. Are there adapters (if necessary) that makes the XX work with (lighter) 180 mm discs?

Not from Avid, but a 180mm adapter from Shimano or Formula should work just fine.

Shimano adapters work really well. Using 180mm rotors with Juicy 7's and BB7's.

But the brackets might weigh more!

Seriously, how much weight difference can there be and is it worth the price for new rotors and brackets?

The trouble with common sense is it is no longer common
