sram code RSC a1 vs b1 - what's the difference?

The prices are a bit different, but the specs look the same. Anyone know the difference between the two?

Probably a slight difference in the caliper or the lever, the Spare Parts Catalog doesn't show anything for the B1 Code RSC, from what I can see, it only shows the A1.

With other brake models there is slight differences with either the caliper, the lever or both with the A1 and B1.

Pretty sure the only difference is the incorporation of the bleeding edge port on the caliper and upgraded plunger in the lever.

A1s have a bleed nipple, B1s have the bleeding edge port on the caliper.

thats for the guides. are the codes the same way? i didn't know they even made the new codes without the bleeding edge port, since they are pretty new. first time im hearing about an A1 and B1 version of the codes.

Correct. All SRAM codes from 2017 on have bleeding edge. I thought B1=R and A1=RSC caliper. The R and RSC calipers differ slightly. Are you sure itís a B1 RSC and not R???

The B1 is the second generation of the Guide brakes (R, RS, RSC). They feature the S4 caliper with the "Bleeding Edge" bleed port, improved heat resistance, and improvements to the brake lever.

Thread is about codes, not guides. That information doesn't apply.

Must of glazed over that part...

Code is a different caliper and lever than the Guides. However, my research suggests the improvements to the B1 Code brakes would be similar.
