Spongy Brakes on Rough Downhills
I have Juicy Sevens on an '08 Trek EX-9 and they get spongy on long rough downhills. Well, actually, only the rear gets spongy, the front is fine. After I stop for a bit, it is fine. What is up with that?
Sounds like a bubble. Give it a good bleed and go from there.
My front Juicy 7 was doing a similar thing on long downhills. It would get spongy, and I would have to pump the lever a couple of times to get it back to "normal". I got the bleed kit from Avid, followed the directions, and it took care of the problem.
