Hi, I bought a 2007 Marz Z1 RC2. It has IS51mm tabs. When I installed the adapter for my 203mm rotor the caliper could not line up with the rotor. It was like that adapter needed to be shimmed out a little bit. Whats going on here?
Some Marzocchis with IS tabs used 5mm washers that come with the forks because they are spaced over. Hopefully you have some on hand from brake installations (you can add some up to 5mm) or if you have some thicker ones like 5mm.
Why? I don't know, I would love to think it's for a stronger mount.
Thanks, thats bizarre to me. Unfortunately I didn't get those so i guess I will be looking for longer bolts and 5mm of spacers. I would think that would actually reduce strength because now there is more torque on the mount.

I used Hayes caliper washers, and Avid CPS hardware kit. The hayes washers are 2mm each, so get 4 and then use the 2 small 1mm washers from the Avid kit along with the longer bolts in the kit. Works perfectly. Check the links below:
